We are thrilled to announce an exciting new partnership between iüLabs and Biowell Health, coinciding with the highly anticipated launch of Biowell Health, the home of cellular wellness.

Biowell Health is set to revolutionise health and wellness with its innovative therapies, and we're proud to have our products included in their comprehensive wellness offerings, alongside such cutting-edge therapies as hyperbaric oxygen therapy, IHHT, and EMS therapy. At Biowell Health, therapies are designed to support your health and wellness goals with the most advanced approaches available. To celebrate this collaboration and the launch of Biowell Health, we sat down with co-founder Peter Scrivener, who shared his personal journey and the benefits he has experienced from using iüVitalizer, the bestselling iüLabs supplement drink supporting energy metabolism.

iüLabs: Peter, thank you for joining us today. To start, could you please provide a brief overview of your career before founding Biowell Health?

Peter Scrivener: Certainly. Before founding Biowell Health, I had a long and fulfilling career in professional rugby. I played at a high level and had the privilege of being part of some incredible teams. After retiring from rugby, I transitioned into the business side of the sport, where I worked in various roles, including sports management and consultancy. Rugby was my life for many years, and it taught me a lot about discipline, teamwork, and resilience.

iüLabs: What inspired you to transition from rugby to health and wellness?

Peter Scrivener: The transition was largely driven by my personal health journey, especially after contracting COVID-19 and dealing with Long COVID. The experience was life-changing and opened my eyes to the importance of health and wellness beyond just physical fitness. I realised that there was a gap in the market for effective treatments that could help people like me who were struggling with chronic conditions. That’s what inspired me to found Biowell Health, and focus on therapies that reduce inflammation and support overall well-being.

iüLabs: Thank you for sharing that background. Could you tell us about the specific symptoms of Long COVID you experienced, that led you to seek medical attention?

Peter Scrivener: Of course. It all started in October 2020 when I developed a high temperature of 39 degrees that lasted for ten days. Alongside that, I experienced severe brain fog, heart palpitations with my heart rate spiking up to 218, chronic fatigue, voice issues, and joint pain. Within three weeks, I lost three stone of muscle, dropping from my usual weight of 17 stone 3 to just 14 stone. It was a terrifying time.

iüLabs: That sounds incredibly challenging. Did you receive an official diagnosis?

Peter Scrivener: Yes, on day eight of my illness, I was admitted to the Urgent Medical Assistance Unit at Arrowe Park Hospital. Despite testing negative for COVID-19 and having no antibodies, I was diagnosed with COVID-19 and, eventually, Long COVID.

“I was essentially unable to do anything—I couldn’t be a husband, a dad, or operate in any capacity.”

iüLabs: How did this condition affect your daily life, both professionally and personally?

Peter Scrivener: It was life-changing, to say the least. I was essentially unable to do anything—I couldn’t be a husband, a dad, or operate in any capacity. I had to give up everything, including simple activities like walking up the stairs or even tossing a ball to my son. Before COVID, I was very active, and suddenly I couldn’t do anything. It was devastating.

iüLabs: It must have been difficult to give up so much. How did you discover the various therapies you tried, including energy supplement iüVitalizer?

Peter Scrivener: I learnt about most of the therapies through my connections in the sports world, including Cryo, Red Light Therapy, and Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy. For mitochondrial blood testing, I worked with a functional doctor because all my NHS blood tests came back normal. As for the iüVitalizer, I found out about it through Damian Hopley, a former teammate.

“Given how damaged my body was, it took about a week of consistent use, in combination with iüMove, before I started noticing the benefits. But once I did, the effects were noticeable.”

iüLabs: What was your experience like when you first started using the iüVitalizer?

Peter Scrivener: I really appreciated the science behind the drink, and I liked the taste, although I know that’s subjective. Given how damaged my body was, it took about a week of consistent use, in combination with iüMove, before I started noticing the benefits. But once I did, the effects were noticeable.

iüLabs: How often do you use it, and what specific benefits have you noticed?

Peter Scrivener: I use it daily. Over time, I’ve noticed improvements in my overall energy levels, mental clarity, and a general reduction in the chronic fatigue that had been plaguing me.

iüLabs: Looking back, what do you think was the most crucial factor in your recovery?

Peter Scrivener: Understanding the root cause of my issues was key. It’s incredibly isolating when you don’t know why you feel so bad. Identifying that core issue helped me focus on the right therapies and make progress in my recovery.

“My advice would be to speak up and ask for help without feeling ashamed.”

Peter’s advice for anyone suffering from chronic conditions

iüLabs: What advice would you give to others who are experiencing similar health issues?

Peter Scrivener: My advice would be to speak up and ask for help without feeling ashamed. It’s important to identify the root cause of your symptoms, try different therapies, and eliminate what doesn’t work for you. Go slowly, as pushing too hard can lead to setbacks. Also, do your own research and make sure other aspects of your life, like diet and lifestyle, are in order. Surround yourself with positivity and remove negativity from your life.

iüLabs: That’s excellent advice. Looking forward, what are your plans for the future, both personally and with Biowell Health?

Peter Scrivener: Personally, I want to continue getting stronger and share what I’ve learnt with others. As for Biowell Health, the goal is to make our therapies accessible to as many people as possible. We’re also focusing on researching how our therapies can benefit wider medical fields. Eventually, we hope to have our therapies included in insurance coverage and recommended by the NHS. Ultimately, we all want the same thing: healthy people.

iüLabs: Have you come across any recent advancements or research in health and wellness that you find promising?

Peter Scrivener: The field is constantly evolving, and while there’s a lot of potential, more clinical trials are needed to fully understand what these therapies can do. We’re committed to staying on top of the latest research and continuing to innovate.

iüLabs: Finally, is there anything else you'd like to share about your journey or any upcoming projects you're excited about?

Peter Scrivener: The main thing on the horizon is the launch of Biowell Health. We’re incredibly excited about it and can’t wait to see the impact it will have.

iüLabs: Thank you so much, Peter, for sharing your journey with us. We’re thrilled to see how you’ve benefited from iüVitalizer and look forward to seeing what’s next for you and Biowell Health.
